Riding Lessons

Shannon Slyfield, Nancy Grant and Pay It Forward

Slyfield Farm, Inc. offers you, the serious competitor, a tailor made program to suit your needs.  Private and group lessons offered every morning and some evenings and weekends.  For those without their own horses, a limited number of lesson horses are available for lease.

The riders of horses boarded with Slyfield Farm are required to take at least 2 lessons per  week in order to maintain the skill level of both the rider and the horse. Riders seeking increased skill improvement are encouraged to participate in more.  Horses are required to be trained at least once per week by Shannon.  Horses in 'full training' will generally be trained at least 3 times per week.  Riders and horses are encouraged to attend at least one A or AA show per month.

Those Slyfield Farm Inc.'s students who wish to do so, compete in hunter/jumper shows locally and on the “A” and “B” circuits under Shannon’s focused coaching.  Many of her students and their horses are regular winners of year end awards for show performances.
